Advanced course for crew on ships that works under IGF-code

This course gives all relevant knowledge as well as certificate for officers and crew who on operational level are responsible for the use of LNG on LNG fuelled vessels. The course gives relevant knowledge for bunkering and fuelling when using LNG as fuel. Course gives the basis for applying certificate from Transportstyrelsen according to TSFS 2011:116, annex 25, which follows advanced training for ships subject to IGF code.

Johan Eliasson and Tommy Hjälmås.

Johan Eliasson

Marine Engineer with wide experience about training, education and development of educations programs on the management level. Worked for 10 years in the Royal Swedish navy at several different vessel and as a lecturer within the Naval academy. The teaching has mainly focused on Marine Engineering subject with integrated Engine room simulators exercises at one of the leading Maritime University’s. The teaching includes both program courses as well as short term courses for the Maritime Industry. Within the role as head of program held the position as chair for the Marine Engineering’s advisory board with representatives from the industry and the academia. Currently expert advisor for the Swedish Transport Agency mainly at the IMO sub-committee HTW. 

Tommy Hjälmås

30 years of experience within the shipping industry and 15 years dedicated to LPG and petrochemical Gas Carriers. Expert in the field of gas carrier ship operation, design/newbuild and ship management. High commercial awareness with friendly approach emphasising teamwork and coaching others to succeed in their roles. High work ethics, hardworking, honest and dedicated personality with an open mind and a good sense of humour.

Cancellation policy: 

Full refund of educational program/course fees will be made for reservations cancelled no later than four weeks prior to the start of the program/course. Later cancellations incur a cancellation fee as follows:

  • 2 weeks or less prior to program start 100% of the educational program/course fee
  • 2-4 weeks prior to program start 50% of the educational program/course fee. 

We are always willing to consider a colleague as a substitute for the original applicant. Cancellation and postponement must be made in writing. Cancellation of accommodation is subject to the cancellation policies of the hotels.
